The following is an excerpt from my book Maybe Everyone Is Wrong: Revelations, Conspiracy, and the Kingdom of Heaven. I have many more thoughts on the matter, and have gained an even more nuanced view of the matter since writing this.
The logic of the Mark of the Beast
And he causes all, small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, that they should receive marks on their right hand, or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except he that has the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of man [Greek: “anthropos”]--his number is 666.
(Revelation 13:16-18 EMTV)
The Greek word anthropos does not refer to a single individual male, nor does it refer to “man” as a gender. It is instead the broadest possible term for humanity itself, which is why “anthropology” is the study of humans, and why being “misanthropic” means being averse to humans altogether. In Hebrew logic, the number 6 represents the number of man because man was created on the sixth day of creation. When we look at the verse in the light of these terms and facts, it should be clear that the number 666 is none other than Humanism itself.
Humanism is an ideology entirely centered on human supremacy, from beginning to end. It leaves no room for God. The wise are supposed to count (analyze) the “number of his name” (Humanism) with the knowledge that it’s the “number of man” (6), and thus realize that the core identity of the Mark of the Beast is godlessness, atheism, and Humanism. As Wikipedia pointed out, “the intellectual basis of the Renaissance was its version of humanism, derived from the concept of Roman Humanitas and the rediscovery [thanks to the influx of Orthodox/Byzantine literature] of classical Greek philosophy, such as that of Protagoras, who said that "Man is the measure of all things."
But for as amazing and revolutionary as this realization is, we cannot lose sight of the bigger picture. This mark is specifically supposed to be put into the right hand, or the forehead. How does that work? It’s very simple. When we stop being hyper-literal and take it on the same broad spiritual message as the rest of the heavenly history lesson, we see that the right hand is not literal, but represents a person’s strength and their actions. We have already seen the importance of the right hand over and over in Revelation. Jesus holds the seven stars in his right hand; God the Father keeps the seven-sealed book in his right hand. There is an ancient and almost universal understanding that a man’s right hand is his dominant one, his powerful side, and the hand that symbolizes control. If you receive the Humanist mark of 666 in your right hand, it means that you have dedicated your strength, control, and actions (we might call it lifestyle) to Humanism. Likewise, the forehead is not literal either, but represents a man’s mind, the center of his thinking, the place of greatest concentrated will and intention. We see that the 144,000 Israelite elect were sealed with the seal of God in their foreheads, showing that they are devoted to God in their minds.
But still we have not solved the riddle completely. What about buying and selling? Surely this must be a personal, literal statement about common transactions in a capitalist society, right? Wrong. Despite talking about the great and the small, the rich and the poor, and so on, this is the natural evolution of the world order born out of the Renaissance and the black rider’s conquest. The Jesuits and their Los Alumbrados “Enlightenment” ushered in an age of international banking, finance, trade, and standardization under a handful of elite Satanic families. Any nation—whether big or small, free or enslaved, rich or poor—who did not subscribe to one of the Beast’s preferred ideologies would be spurned by this global financial conspiracy to the point of not being able to participate on the world marketplace. This is precisely what sanctions and tariffs are used for: punishing countries who don’t play along with the agenda of the international banking cartel. They might subsist on a basic internal economy and a handful of partnerships, but these are always being targeted and disrupted by the gnostic, Satanic intelligence agencies and their minions.
When the Muslim leader of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi, tried to organize a new independent currency for his fellow African nations, backed with gold, the international banking system mobilized their propaganda machine to say that he “should be killed” and sent their revolutionaries to do the job. Within two years there was a NATO-led uprising in the name of “freedom”. Of course, the Libyans themselves enjoyed free education and almost free gasoline at the time, but this was not free enough for the international banking system. This is but one of countless governments who have been forced into submission by the image of the Beast, which demands to be worshiped.
Finally, let us acknowledge that Humanism is not the only path to economic participation in this Satanic conspiracy. The Bible says that there is a mark, a name, and a number, and that all three are separately viable. The plain mark of the Beast may be direct conspiratorial allegiance of a nation’s leadership with Rome or its international systems, like Catholics and Orthodox countries have enjoyed for centuries without violent upheavals by Satan’s forces; the name might be more similar to America, having the (false) term of Democratic Republic, which gives credibility to the idea that there is no conspiracy controlling the world. The number, which represents a purging of God and a secularization of society and government, is the least conspicuous and most subtle. Every nation’s leadership which does not devote itself to one of these three with its “right hand” (strength) or its “forehead” (intellect) is doomed.
Before I get into your claims here, I just want to check a couple of things...
1) You write, "Jesus holds the seven stars in his right hand". Why do you (once again) take away every title from the Lord Jesus Christ? According to you, He is your King, your Saviour, and your Redeemer -yet you frequently fail to honour Him with *any* title.
2) Why do you use the EMTV Bible version over the KJV? Have you never looked properly at the Bible versions issue, including the profound corruption in modern versions and the reasons why people like Gail Riplinger promote the KJV?
3) Why do your writings not remind me of the Spirit of Christ? And why do you v seldom seem to give the Lord any of the glory for your (supposed) insights and talents?
