Special notes on the list
I have combined The New World Religion and Game of Gods as the same entry because they essentially hit the same vital target from the same general perspective, and while you don’t need to read both, you definitely need to read either one or the other. The authors have been very close associates for decades and helped write each other’s books. Gary’s book came out much earlier, but has been through several editions and been greatly improved upon by Carl’s editorial additions. The New World Religion is shorter and does an excellent job of hitting the heart of the issue with facts and research, but this research was largely improved by Carl Teichrib, whose own book is very recent and very comprehensive, and deserves major support since he is one of the most underappreciated heroes in the world of Christian literature. He possesses an invaluable perspective, backed up by an amazing life of adventure. He has quietly and modestly helped many authors, documentary makers, and truth-seekers while practically being an international spy for the Lord!
The Underground History of American Education may not be quite as critical today as it was when I read it in the early 2000’s, because people generally know by now that the education system is an evil system of dumbing kids down, but I still think John Taylor Gatto’s work is legendary, indispensable, and powerfully motivating. If it weren’t for Underground I wouldn’t be an author today, because the school system crippled my self-esteem and tricked me into thinking that research was boring. Tracing the actual history of how we ended up with such an evil school system helped shed all the burdens of my childhood and create in me a deep sympathy for the ignorant around me, since they too are victims of the system. It affirms that children are good, people are not so bad if left by themselves, and that we’re already living in the Beast.
Things Hidden Since The Foundation of the World is a long, involved, and deeply intellectual discussion between three French thinkers. They do not slow down to invite casual readers into their discourse. It may bog the reader down with concepts they have no use for, unless they are already invested in theories of anthropology, psychology, and how to overcome the baggage of popular deceivers such as Nietzsche, Freud, and Carl Jung while also promoting a unique Biblical Christian worldview.
I recently tried to explain his ideas on a live study session, but it was tough:
And I already wrote a piece on The Holographic Universe:
