I really loved your post today. As already noted by another commenter, the phrase "To become a Christian is not to become a good person, but to abandon the lie of being a good person" definitely strikes home. You simplified a very subtle and complex phenomena, where the truly faithful are self-compelled (and compelled by the example of Jesus and His love for us) to continually "up our game."
You're on fire today, Terry. "To become a Christian is not to become a good person, but to abandon the lie of being a good person. "
I weep for myself.
Ohhhhh yes indeed!THE AHA moment on steroids ✨️👐✨️✝️
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God" 1 Corinthians 1:18

Wow, what a post! This is part is especially profound:
“To become a Christian is not to become a good person, but to abandon the lie of being a good person.
It is not about knowing everything confidently, but to admit that we don’t know anything except the testimony of our own renewed life.”
I’m definitely saving the entire post but especially the quoted part.
Thak you for that. Nice to read.
Wow wow! All I can say is WOW! Bella ✝️
Thank you for your excellent post Terry. Going to send it to others. Appreciate you!
