It's curious to note how the guy emphasizes the age of Christianity through Pisces and fish symbolism (if I understood correctly) but only mentions that Jesus called himself a Fisher of Men and his disciples were fishermen. He doesn't mention the Miracles involving fish, like multiplying the fish and loaves or casting the net so it became so full it almost tore. Yet when we wants examples of people doing miraculous things he points to a random Hindu guy who claims that yogis can be in multiple places at once or magically heal people. Convenient how we can live in a 2000 year span defined by one spiritual leader but he points to obscure or unknown ones when he wants to inspire his viewers with the extraordinary.
First of all, the bible clearly talks about the celestial perfection of the Zodiac. Job 38:32 clearly states "Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons or lead out the Bear with its cubs?" The word use in the original text being Mazzaroth (Zodiac in Hebrew). Then the word ‘entos’ has always been translated as within or ‘inside’ in the bible, until recently. For its the literal Greek) meaning. Its polar opposite being ‘enktos’ and meaning ‘without’ or ‘outside’.
The Jews were certainly familiar with the astrology of the region. They were not supposed to live according to it, and instead were supposed to trust God and live by his calendar, not theirs
I'm not sure what to think of those novels. It seems to me like he wanted mystics and conspiracy theorists to read them, so he included things to appeal to them. He also has the Jesuit priest turn out to be a hero in the end of the first book, after suggesting that they are at the top of the occult military. I don't remember much about The Portent or the astrology anymore, it's been a long time
Yes many threads of the story get tangled up towards the end of The Portent…one of them being the astrology of Jesus’ birthday. It’s a bit heavy and hard to struggle through the last third of the book I’d say. Nonetheless I enjoyed reading both his novels He discusses them in interviews and during Q & A of his workshops which gives a bit more insight as to what he was trying to convey.
Brilliant piece of writing ✍️ 👏.
If anything, it is a case of the New Age pot calling the technoking kettle black.
Or both sides screaming to each other, “You’re doing transhumanism wrong!”

What do you think of Dr Heiser incorporating astrology into his novel The Portent?
