I was barely aware of them. But that unveiling was epic! How did their fans respond? Did they stop putting out music after that?

This was back in 2002, before social media, so the reaction is hard to gauge. Based on the tiny amount of feedback I remember, it was taken quite well. They still made more music, still had concerts and tours, etc. A lot of their audience was growing out of their angsty teens and becoming young parents themselves, so the timing was good.

I listened to a lady at church describing U2 as a Christian rock band. I was flummoxed. I wish I could've countered, that, "No, Ann, U2 is not a Christian rock band, now here's a Christian rock band! 😏 Excellent article!!

Haha, great article! Brought back a lot of memories.

The intersection of the Christianity, Pro Wrestling, and ICP is rarely acknowledged!

(Miracles)

"If magic is all we've ever known

Then it's easy to miss what really goes on

But I've seen miracles in every way

And I see miracles every day"

...

"Music is a lot like love, it's all a feeling

And it fills the room from the floor to the ceiling

I see miracles all around me

Stop and look around, it's all astounding.

Water, fire, air and dirt

Fucking magnets, how do they work?

And I don't wanna talk to a scientist

Y'all motherfuckers lying, and getting me pissed"

I think it's a shame that ICP will are becoming forgotten, when if you stack them up to almost any group from the 1990s they have one of the greatest careers ever. The wrestling, the video games, the music, the videos, and the gimmick. The fact that they happen to be Christian just takes it to a new level for me. And yes, I was glad "Miracles" shot them back up into awareness.

I honestly wish more songwriters were Christian that's why i pray that God might reveal himself to Kanye west, having more people who know how to write down their true feelings and emotions into a song would add so much depth to Christian songs
